Writer’s Blog… I mean Block, Challenge!

So it’s been a while, though not for lack of trying, I swear! I had a whole thing planned for C-88 in April and when I sat down to get to it, the words literally left me, and I sat here staring at a blank screen for a solid couple hours. Writer’s block is a bitch, and  doubly so when there are so many great new things coming out lately.

 

So Wifey in her infinite creativity, has come up with the following challenge! Simple, easy, and meant to get the ball rolling!

 

Seems pretty easy, right? Good! Easy is what’s needed (at least for me) right now! I know I normally edit more, and add a bit more drama to my photos, but for this challenge I figured something simpler would work best.

4. My favorite thing about this, is probably the fact that this is me 100%. This is how I dress in real life. Casual, is the order of the day. My favorite jeans paired with any number of my awesome wordy tee’s and my favorite hoody or sweater. This is probably the most like me, my avatar has ever looked.

 

5. Blue. Blue is my color. I’m not sure that I need to say more than that. Anyone who knows me irl or in SL know that I wear blue all the time, every day.

 

6. No real accessories in this shot, other than the amazing facial pierced that I always wear from Pekka!

 

7. Adorkable poses are amazing and it was fun, simple and easy! (Pretty sure we covered this already!)

 

8. I feel comfy. It’s one of the my fall back outfits in SL. If I can’t decide what to wear that day, I’ll throw this one and know I love it til I figure out something better.

Back again! I hope that everyone had a great Holiday weekend, I know that I did. Easter day was nice and relaxing, a holiday I wasn’t require to work for once, which was nice! Now that I’m back and thoroughly hopped up on sugar and peeps, I’ve got a great new item for you!

What started as a convo over a fantastic corset and where I could get one, Kennedy informed me that it was her own creation. So here it is, because I needed one, bad!  It’s a great piece! Sexy, comes in a multitude of colors and just a great piece for pretty much anyone! I definitely recommend checking out her store (link below) and taking a look at not only these but the rest of her items!

Foundations

Happy Thursday, folks! I know it’s been a few weeks, but getting back into photoshop has been a bit harder than I’d anticipated. I’ll make the chit-chat brief and get right to the good stuff.

A few new things with this post. The first being that I’ve recently decided to try my hand at pose making. It drives me literally insane when I have an idea in my mind for a shot, but no matter how much I stalk the marketplace or lurk through my favorite pose stores, I can’t find the right pose to capture what I’m looking for.

Second, I managed to twist some arms and get a little bit of help to showcase this designer. Deathfate is the handsome man beside me in these shots (and no, I didn’t have to dress him, he just looks -that- good!) , and he was gracious enough to stand there with a smile while I fiddled with angles, windlights, and generally ocd-ing out over the details.

My designer of choice for this shot, is Shine & Sharp by the very talented, Cecilia Blachere.  I’ve only recently found out about these shops, but I have to say I’m pretty excited about the things she’s making! Shine is for the ladies, and Sharp for the boys, and  both have some very good quality items!  So yeah, check it out! Everybody Talks

I can honestly say that I didn’t expect to find myself here again, but I’m so glad that I am! So yeah, Hello! Welcome back to Randomness to Fill the Spaces! I know that it’s been a while since I updated, and with my last post, things sort of just seemed final. It certainly felt pretty final to me. I took a bit of an on again, off again break with SL, but since returning (for what seems to be the foreseeable future) , I’ve had the itch to start doing something a little creative and a little fun. Jumping back into everything with a new look, and a new(ish) Avi. As much as I loved my previous look, I needed a change! Guess I should just get the ball rolling and stop rambling, right? Right.

I had a great time with this photo. I recently got back into shopping (My bank account is crying already), and updating my wardrobe a bit. Coldlogic is a staple in any inventory I have, so I had to give them a visit. Then there are these awesome Tee/Blazer combos that Ricielli Released with The Dressing Room! I’m a huge fan. Burley is a store I actually haven’t been to in a while, and I have to say I’m really impressed with their mesh hair! I found this one, and completely geeked out over it, and woe the demo around for a solid hour til I had some lindens to buy it up! Gah, I’ve missed SL fashion so hard in my few months away.  The Sim featured, is here. It’s a wonderful sim. A recreation of 1900’s Paris, complete with an Eiffel Tower you can go straight to the top in. I definitely recommend taking a visit!

So, The Time Has Come..

So, it’s been quite some time since I have been able to find some time to myself to wrangle up a post. It’s definitely not for lacking of wanting to, but things have just been a bit too chaotic to even be able to sit and pluck about in photoshop all that much. So it’s with a bit of a heavy heart, that I am deciding to put this on an indefinite hiatus.  I want to thank everyone who has read my posts, even if it’s just the people I harass to read them every time I’ve got something new.  I hope to be able to come back to doing this soon, because I truly do miss it so much.

Settle Down

Happy Hump Day all! I know its been a few days since my last post, but things have been picking up with heading back to work for me! Viva La Vida

Hello all! Hope your week is coming to a close on a good note,  I know that I’m certainly happy it’s the weekend!  I know I promised more posts, this week, but there was lots going on inworld and out of world!  Lots of movies that I want to see recently, and I decided to treat myself to two this week! Prometheus was freaking awesome, if you haven’t seen it yet, just do it!  I also saw Snow White and the Huntsman, and while I enjoyed it, it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting.  Ah well. . .

So today I’m going to be giving you the fillet of Chic’s birthday event, because there was just too much amazing stuff to photograph it all (not to mention I’m sure loads of folks are blogging about this amazing event!).  I’ve picked out my four absolute favorite outfits, and I’m going to display them here.  I’ve not had a lot of interaction with Chic management, aside from Culture Shock 2012 and of course their birthday event, but I have to say I’m really getting to love what this company puts together!

Happy Tuesday! As I promised I would update more this week, and I’m starting off with some great finds at FaMESHed!! This first photo features a great new prefab from Trompe Loeil (one of my favorite stores ever!) A wonderful little garden scene, that I know I’ll be using lots in the future! Cory’s builds are always so amazing, and her attention to detail as well.

Also from this month’s faMESHed is this wonderful new set of dresses from Jane, coming in two packs. This one is all solid colors with some great coloring details on the fringes, and a pack with patterned dresses! The fits are wonderful, definitely worth checking out!  Wasabi Pills released this new hair as well for this month, and it’s always nice to find a good short do. The great thing about this hair is it’s nonrigged mesh so you can size it to fit.

This is another great outfit from this month’s faMESHed from Boom Clothing. Romper’s are totally doing it for me lately, so when I saw this I just had to get one. It took a little bit of fussing with my shape, but I think the fit is great, and the  jewelry from MG worked out so well with this piece!  There is lots more to check out at this monthly event, including some great furniture pieces from Cheeky Pea, trees from Organica, and of course lots of great clothing from Aura, Geometry, and E!
